Christopher Bretnall
Technical Producer

Chris has been the Technical Producer for National Theatre Live productions since inception, the Met Opera live transmissions, Pathe Live Bolshoi, Glyndebourne Festival and many of the live broadcasts to cinema in the UK. He is the Technical Producer for the first live 4K event to a cinema, NTLive War Horse.
Other major globally-distributed projects included"Miss World" 2005-2012 (From Inner Mongolia, China. Poland and RSA).
The State Funerals of both HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the funeral of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. 
State events have included the Opening of Parliament (from 1998 to present). Production delivery roles for the 3 Olympics in Athens, Torino and Beijing. 
After 19 years at BBC Outside Broadcasts, culminating as Head of Project and Engineering Management, Christopher set up Creative Broadcast Solutions to continue to deliver technical broadcast productions to a wide range of international clients. This has included diverse projects (as Overall Technical Director), the entire BBC coverage of HM Queen Jubilee Celebrations, including The Queen's Jubilee Concert which won the 2012/13 Broadcast Award for the best music programme. Chris has also been in technical charge of the BBC host coverage of The Royal Wedding of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge.

Julia has been working in broadcasting for over 30 years. During this time she has held the BBC posts of Head of Editing, Head of Studios, Head of Projects and Head of News Resources and Technology.

She has been with Creative Broadcast Solutions since 2005 , working on productions across the board, including producing on HM The Queen Diamond Jubilee Concert, London Fashion Week and National Theatre 50 Years on Stage.

In one of her roles as Transmission Manager Julia has helped to train and shape the technical skills in digital cinemas across the UK.
Julia also runs the finance, marketing and administration of the company.

Andy has worked continuously in broadcasting since 1981 - for the BBC until 1997, then he has worked in partnership with Creative Broadcast Solutions Ltd on their larger projects.

Andy has operational experience throughout Europe, Western Africa, the America’s and Asia on projects such as Formula 1, Barcelona, Athens & London Olympic Games as well as documentary projects ranging from bridge construction and failures in the USA to the malaria crisis in The Gambia including a series of medical films around Europe for Discovery.

He has been working with High Definition systems for many years. He was first involved with the BBC/EBU 'Eureka' 1250 line analogue experiments in the late 1980's
Together with Creative Broadcast he specialises in delivering synchronous High Definition & 4K video with Dolby 5.1 audio to broadcasters as well as direct into global digital cinema locations.

These have included countless transmission management roles for the Met Opera, National Theatre, Miss World, regular music events, Concert for Diana and Live Earth London as well as the Royal Wedding in 2011.
